Hey Guys!
Well lots to update you on, (as you can probably tell from the amount of pictures!). Since the last update, we moved onto a place called Playa Del Carmen. We were pretty much under the impression that Playa was going to be something amazing- but on the whole it was very tourist orientated. The beach was gorgeous, but we had to walk miles to find a patch with only a few other people there! Did see the biggest Pelicans ever though! In Playa we stayed in a really cool youth hostel (see picture), and we managed to save a bit of money cooking for ourselves in the hostel´s kitchen.
So now we are in a small town called Tulum. Tulum totally makes up for Playa Del Carmen. It´s a totally chilled out place, and the people are really friendly. we are staying in the best hostel ever- The Weary Traveller Hostel, which has a big open garden area with hammocks, a bbq and some wicked company! We could quite easily stay here for a while! Kev is very happy with the hostel as he has still been able to watch all of the Champion´s League matches- even if the commentary is in Spanish! Rol On Athens! (says Kev). Today we ventured to a place called Coba. Make sure you take a moment to check out the pictures- they are incredible. Coba is a small mayan village,45 mins away from Tulum, and home to some amazing Mayan Ruins, the biggest dated back to 750 AD. It truely was the best thing that we have done so far. Tomorrow we are off the Cenote Park to do some Snorkelling in some Caves! Anyway were off back to the hostel now, to grab some dinner in the garden, some beer in the hammock, and some sun! (Not to rub it in!) Take care everyone xxxx
