hi everyone.

since our last blog we have been through a few places. firstly, to end our stay at byron bay, we went on a 'local knowledge tour' and were driven round by bus in a group with one of the locals as our guide. we learnt a bit about the aboriginal culture, learnt how to throw a boomerang and found out about the history of the town we saw called nimbin. nimbin had a fantastic feel to it with an array of beautiful tie dye fabrics and quirky little shops selling a variety of interesting bits. very much an alternative town. on the way back we were able to swim in a waterfall. after byron, we travelled on to surf camp where char had a surf lesson (i wimped out, not a fan of water) which she enjoyed. now we are in sydney where we have been on a late night cruise with other people from our oz bus, then clubbing. yesterday we caught the mtv awards and saw a load of celebrities including dufffy and the killers today we are off to v festival.
