Hey! we are back in the uk very briefly before flying out to Australia tomorrow!! just thought i'd update you on the rest of Italy! during the second week we did venture out from venice, on the Monday we went to Fair Verona, which was actually a very beautiful city! had a lot of fun trying to work our way to the city centre from the train station though and looked the epitome of the English tourists, getting out our enormous map in the middle of the streets! we went to see Juliets house with her balcony and the big ampitheatre was pretty cool. Back in Venice we also had a crazy night out and met some interesting characters and probably had one too many long island ice teas, which we payed for dearly the next day, but we won't go into any more details on that!!

A few days later we decided to blow most of our remaining money on going to Milan for my birthday, (although actually travelling by train is surprisingly cheap!) which involved getting up at 3 in the morning and catching a train for three and a half hours, but it was definitely worth it once we got there! After purchasing another life size map we eventually found our way to the main square which was amazing! not knowing much about Milan we kept surprising ourselves as we wandered around and just stumbled accross all of these amazing landmarks! once we finally got back to Venice after a very long day we found that we had a budget of about 5 euros for the next few days which gave us a challenge, but we managed it by doing a lot of walking and anything else that was free!

Anyway, really enjoyed Venice and it was great to travel around a bit more of Itlay as well! Just about all packed and ready to go off again so will be posting some stories from down under very soon!! xxxxxxxxx lots of love
