Well hello there! After a lovely flight I have safely arrived Down Under, and its sweltering. But apparently according to the locals its not too hot, and itll get far hotter. Lovely! Cottesloe beach is gorgeous, and goes on for miles, so we had a sunbathe on Tuesday. Last week the beach was shut because there was a shark, so not all that excited about swimming...! Yesterday i swam in the apartment pool (no danger of sharks there), which is just out the back, then sat in the garden all afternoon and met the neighbours! Ray works every day til early afternoon so i have time for a nice swim and a wander/sunbathe before she gets home. Last night we went to the Ocean Beach Hotel (OBH) and met all her friends...the regular Thursday night pub i am informed. Its not particularly cheap, probably more expensive than home, but what can you do. Today ive caught the train to Fremantle, about ten minutes away from Mosman Park, and had a wander around. Its a huge port, and not a very pretty coastline. Ive just come from the market, its amazing, 150 stalls, all selling weird and wonderful things, as well as every fruit and vegetable you could wish for! Needless to say i bought some strawberries and am going to sit and eat them outside when ive finished this. This weekend we are off on a boat down the Swan river, then next weekend we plan on going down to margaret river for some wine tasting and chocolate factories.

Anyway, time is running out so id better go, so i hope all is well back home in the snow! Lots of love
