Hey everyone! Just thought I would set up a blog for you all to keep up to date with my travels and to have a peek at the photos I take along the way! Hey everyone!

Just thought I would set up a blog for you all to keep up to date with my travels and to have a peek at the photos I take along the way!

I will be starting my trip on the 17th January 2008, landing in Bangkok on the 18th. I will then be picked up by the organisation I am working with, i-to-i. I will be doing a 4 week voluntary placement in a special needs school for children aged between 5 and 22 years old, in Chumphon, on the coast of Southern Thailand. I cannot wait for this - having spoken to a couple of the girls I'll be volunteering with, its going to be alot of fun and very rewarding also. Because we get the weekends off, I will spend most of them exploring the islands off the coast of Thailand - such as Ko Samui, Ko Tao etc as it's an easy ferry ride away from where I will be living. After this placement, I will spend a week or so in Ko Tao doing my PADI diving course and will hopefully get the opportunity to swim with whale sharks and all kinds!

After this, I will make my way up to Bangkok for the start of my 40 day STA travel tour "Indochina Encompassed". This will take me through the beautiful countries of Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and finally ending up in North Thailand, Chiang Mai. After a relaxing rest here (and a nice massage that this place is known for), I will then be travelling independently through Thailand, into Malaysia and finishing in Singapore. Here, I will spend a couple of days going to the zoo and doing other touristy things!

I will then catch a flight from Singapore to Sydney, spending a few days in backpackers central before meeting up with STA again for my East Coast Australia tour. This will take me all the way from Sydney to Cairns - stopping off at many stunning places such as Byron Bay, Gold Coast and Whitsundays. I will spend a few days in Cairns diving off the Great Barrier Reef. Hopefully I will get the chance to do a bungy jump and other extreme activities in Australia too! After this I will be flying to Brisbane and staying with a friend for just over a week - as he is lucky enough to be living here for over a year!

My final leg of the journey will be New Zealand (just in time for their winter season) - where I will fit in as much as I possibly can! I haven't got a time limit here and, depending on how far the money goes, I might stay out here longer than planned! I will be making my way round both the North and the South parts of the country-enjoying the glorious views and relaxing parts of the country to the extreme sports parts also!

nana Ive just watched the pictures of when you arrived in australia Charlie and also your Skydive!!!! How amazing it must have been a bit scarry though!! and the pictures have turned out brilliant, I think you were Very brave!!! The beach looks so good I bet you wont want to leave Australia! Charlotte Hello everyone! Sorry I am so useless at keeping up to date with blogs! Means I will have lots to tell you upon my return though! I'm currently in Thailand and will be flying to Singapore in just a few days - and then on to Sydney after one night in Singapore! I can't wait! I have just finished 2 dives in the best dive site in Thailand - I was literally a metre away from a sea snake and saw so many huge fish - barracudas about 1.5metres long and best of all - black-tipped sharks! Having a great time here - met alot of lovely people, so it is going to be sad to say bye to them all in a couple of days, but I'm excited to meet new people now. Thanks for the messages everyone! Julie - I hope you are recovering well, its been great being updated about your bunions! Ha! Missing you all, (especially mum and dad) but not missing the english weather - its the hottest month here in Thailand - at 36 degrees and above! Will write again soon, love Charlotte xx

Irene Hi Charlotte Sorry its taken so long for me to post a message (work as usual - doh!!!). You look like you are really enjoying yourself - we are all so envious but also very proud too. julie Hi charlotte! I am at your Mumand Dadswith Nana Lily and Steve. We have just had an amazing dinner andI have had the best seat in the house (cos of my bunions!).
