We have been in Melbourne for a few days now and we are now in our 3rd hostel. It was very busy because of the Grand Prix here this weekend. The place we have just moved out of was horrible. It was like a drop in centre for the unemployed (basically us but really scummy people). It was really mucky and there were hardly any backpackers there. The new place is really nice, we are about 5 minutes from the beach in St Kilda.

I tried to watch the Grand Prix in a pub yesterday but no-where was showing it so we ended up going to another hostel to watch it. No-one in Melbourne seems bothered about the Grand Prix, it wasn't even a sellout at the stadium. I think we should start a petition to get the Grand Prix moved somewhere else.

We have been looking for jobs for the last few days. We have had a bit of luck, we are going to see a couple of people tomorrow about some jobs. I have been asked if I want to go to an interview for one but it is minimum of 4 months and we don't want to be here that long. Hopefully we will have a chance to do some sightseeing soon after we go to the jobs tomorrow. Lou has booked us on the Neighbours night tonight, we are going to see Karl Kennedy's band and then stay for the trivia quiz after. We are meeting the couple that we met in Adelaide so hopefully we will have a good night. We are doing to Neighbours tour on Sat (Lou's birthday) as well!
