Dad Well done on reaching Spain in time for a small local football match. A brilliant effort - and it's good to see the sponsorship is still edging towards £3k. Now you've done France and various mountains you know why so many of the French have those little engines on their push bikes. Perhaps a new side line for Spokes. Hope you have a great night with Chris tomorrow in Barcelona. Then just think of the fun you'll have assembling that furniture. See you at the weekend. x
Mike Chris, brilliant, I have just caught up with your Girona e-mail although by now you will have met up with Chris J. A fantastic achievement! Annie and I know just how up and down the roads were (next time try Holland) and to do over 100 miles on that first day was awesome. To do it unaided without us getting in the way to tell you we had found "this marvellous coffee shop round the corner" when you just wanted to keep cycling probably made the last few days better than you might have feared. Again, well done, well done, well done! Look forward to catching up and saying it in person. Mike.

Ben Dawson Hi Chris, Found your site from the Logica news article. Fantastic achievement! The blog makes for very entertaining reading! I am thinking of doing JOGLE later this year, which is a similar sort of distance. Currently thinking of taking my tent and camping along the route. What would your top tips be for such a long cycle? And how much training did you do before the challenge? Ben

Anne Chris - it's an epic journey. So impressed with your determination and love the giggle on the 'running up the hill'. We could start a competition to name other apt songs - how about "The only way is up - by Yazz". Wish we could do more to help - only thing I can offer is "glace pour mon genou s'il vous plaît" to help get that ice when you get to your next fish market! Tomorrow wind behind you (if I've read the forecast correctly). Good on Annie and Mike chasing those donations - you deserve them.

Annie and Mike You have done wonderfully so far; we SO enjoyed your company and your determination! Well done; I hope people reading the blog donate even more money to the EJF..you deserve it after all those hills, particularly now with the panniers attached!. I will now read all the blogs to date, but I hope that you emphasised that you did 107 miles one day!!!!! Don't forget the sunblock each day in the heat...
