Hey!
Had a quiet couple of days, at the vets during the day and chilling at the campsite in the evening (quick pic of the view from the campsite entrance taken on the way out yesterday morning, still havent really seen my surroundings in daylight yet). Managed to intubate a dog rather slickly this morning - it's taken a few dodgy tries to get there, so pretty pleased (little things please little minds and all that)! Weathers taking a turn to the chilly but nice and sunny so all good! I've also managed to see dog and cat castrates and cat speys - doing better on the routine surgery! Still finding every case really interesting.
Things I'm loving about New Zealand right now are mainly food related;
- Milo - like chocolate horlicks, made by Nestle - a nice warming pre-bed drink!
- McDonalds (yes I went to McDonalds in a foreign country) - so much more choice over here, and they have a McCafe which does posh coffee and nice cakes. I also saw another Escape Rentals camper in the car park!
- Burgers (yes, takeaway two nights in a row) - I had a 'the works' burger at the local chippy. Dissection revealed; burger, steak, ham, egg, cheese, pineapple, onion and the usual salad - so big I had to eat it with a knife and fork - sweet as!
In touch with Caroline to put together a cunning plan - we're meeting in Rotorua for the weekend. I'm spending tomorrow (Saturday) morning at the practice, then heading off with Freddy for some fun in Rotovegas as the locals call it!
Nice to see all your messages, some news from this weekend coming Sunday or Monday hopefully, lots of love! xxx
