i have arrived safe and sound ... with i flying headache ...

alicia picked me up ... screaming 'Book bok bookie' (like a chicken) as i walked though the gates. with the screaming and giggling came cuddles and the attention of everyone around us. once outside we were bombarded with taxi people wanting our buisness ... alicia sternly saying NO and walking away because we already had a driver ... one fellow in particular continued following us ... NO NO NO alicia said countless times before realising that he was in fact the driver she had employed!!!

On the way to her hotel, i was awestuck by the roads and drivers .... they carry everything on moterbikes and i mean everything, one man carrying something looked like a porcipine on a bike, children with no helmets, and even the age old sidesaddle coninues here in Hanoi!

droped off my bag at her hotel (which is lovely) and was treated to beer hoi on a busy street corner in funky plastic chairs, people watching is great! with people all over the place and things becoming less caotic as the police patrol the street, dinner at new day (viertnamese) followed by more beer!! it costs like 27cents for a scooner! cheap cheap ..... headed back to alicia's (pad which is like a 3 story mansion) and headed for some much need sleep

this morning i caught a say-ome (motorbike taxi) with liesh .... driver then me and liesh on the back, because i was in the middle ment no helmet(sorry mum just folowing their road rules) .. the roads are crazy ....no specific road rules in place or if there are some, no one seems to be following them ... with the caos on the roads one thing i noticed is the lack of road rage, though their is an increase in horn blaring! ear shattering!

just organising my plan of action and where i want to visit and what i want to experience at the moment ... so more stories are to come ......

so far the people here are sweet but its busy, dirty, caotic and im loving it!
