Day 6 of our European adventure!
Cindy here reporting from somewhere on the sea. It's actually the morning of our 7th day but I wanted to tell you all about our excursion yesterday into the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia! We climbed the city walls of the old town--what a climb-- over 120 steps in just the first flight!!! And there were many more steps that came after that but never that many at one time! But it was well worth it to see the incredible views from atop the city walls! Our excursion included a trip to a restaurant after the climb where had some snacks to help refresh us! While there we used the wifi to post our previous couple of days blogs to this site! Hopefully they came out ok! Then James & I began another climb to the bottom of the hill (actually above the city walls) where the cable car took off! We got our tickets to that & rode the cable car to the very top of the mountain where we had even more amazing views! We couldn't spend a lot of time there because we needed to get back to our ship so we didn't do any other exploring while atop of the mountain! When we got back to the ship we cleaned up for dinner & met our Australian friends in the dining room! We were joined at our table by 2 other couples from the state of Washington! After a delicious dinner we went up to the top deck for a fountain water show! Then we came back to the piazza of the ship for another show that included some body balancers! All in all we had an awesome day! If all our excursions are as incredible as this one, this trip is going to be amazing!
James here- I was amazed at how clear and clean the water was! You could see down 10-20ft. There were 5 cruise ships in port yesterday all at the same time so it was really crowded at some of the attractions. On the water all day today, a welcomed rest.
