Today we decided to go to Epcot after a morning of swimming and sunning by the pool at our resort. Epcot is a park that I hadn't visited since I was a kid myself. Since Dave and the kids had never visited it, I was excited to see what had changed since the last time I had visited and wanted to see what their reaction would be. I was also excited for the boys to see this park because they seemed to be at the right age to enjoy Future World. Since science and technology were of great interest to them, it made it a great park for us all to enjoy for the first time. Since the day was a whopping 31 degrees, it was nice to escape some of the heat and see the exhibits. We visited Spaceship Earth, played under the sea with Nemo and his friends, went Soarin' above California, learned about living on the land, jumped and played with our imaginations with Figment, learned about fire safety and financial planning (and won!) at Innoventions, and even rode a Test Track at speeds unheard of... We took a trip back to the future with Captain EO (which Brody loved until he was spat on...), played with the fairies of Pixie Hollow, and completed our Mission into Space. We loved all of the beauty and magic which brought our favorite Disney characters to life in the Flower and Garden Festival displays...complete with Lotso and his wonderful strawberry scent! Our trip to Epcot was full of new experiences and we couldn't ask for a better day to enjoy it... Looking forward to a lot more magical memories for our family at Walt Disney World this week!
