So currently Jo and I are just relaxing in the hostel this morning (Sun) before heading up to Ko Phanang this afternoon. Jo is trying to upload here photos on to disc so that she can delete her memory card. Also we currently we hav only have my camera as Jo's has run out of battery. All of the plug sockets in Singapore and KL are english and between us both we didn't have a foreign adaptor to english. So Jo couldn't charge hers. We have survived on one camera without a problem but will try and get hold of some batteries at the airport.
So an update on our trip to china town. We went with another guy from our hostel Ritesh, who had just arrived from Singapore yesterday. He has been travelling around the world doing placements for his Medical degree. We had a walk through the market with china town. Interesting experience as all the shop owners were trying to encourage us to look at their goods!! Cheap Dvd's, fake watches and designer sunglasses weren't really our kind of thing. We are both waiting for thailand mega cheap stuff and hopefully not to far to have to lug it everywhere! After having a stroll around the market Jo and I were determined to have Duck for dinner, after browsing a couple of restaurants to find duck the one we found we eventually realised didn't serve roast duck as we expected. (no pancakes, ho sin sauce or onions and cucumber!) - Whats that all about. So we decided to go with sweet and sour chicken, noodles and rice. All in all was good food and good company. After dinner we all fancied an early night so decided to head home. Although walking back was an experience as the drivers here are mad! We almost got run over a couple of times, but thankfully we all just legged it across the roads and thankfully missed all the cars! Having got back to the hostel we settled down to watch a movie. We decided on a Patrick Swayze movie. Although after about 30 mins both Jo and I were asleep. So we decided to have an early night.
Slept a total of 11 hours last night! it was fantastic. We are both now feeling refreshed and looking forward to the next week ahead on Ko Phanang. x x x
