Hannah, Eric, and I met Greg in the Berlin train station and then we headed to Poland. Our trip to Poland was by far our most interesting train ride we have had yet!First our train was about 10 minutes late, which was bad news for us because we had to transfer trains within 10 minutes! That ended up working out fine but then when they checked our tickets they told us we were on a private train so we ended up having to pay for our train ride. The next train we got on was interesting because there weren't enough spots for everyone to sit.A couple guys noticed that we were looking for somewhere to sit so they invited us to sit with them.At first we were a little hesitant but they ended up being really nice guys! There was a group of about 6 polish guys sitting with us and they spoke English so the entire ride they were trying to teach me Polish and I was teaching them some English. We almost didn't go to the right city because the train split in 2 and went to different cities and we were sitting on the wrong end of the train! We ended up running through the train to make it to the front in time.We found another spot to sit and this time we were with a bunch of old men.The old men were beyond drunk and 1 them had way too much fun with Hannah and me.It definitely made for an interesting train ride.We got to Poland at 3:00AM and didn't want to pay for a hostel so we hung out in the train station.

Hannah, Greg, Eric, and I bought tickets to take the earliest bus to Auschwitz which was supposed to leave at 7:30, but the bus didn't end up leaving until 9:30!We spent the entire day at the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.We took a guided tour through the 2 camps and heard story upon story about the Holocaust. It was a very sobering experience and was definitely one of my favorite days of Easter break. We made it back to the train station and had plenty of time to kill while waiting for our sleeper train to Prague. Our train left from Krakow at 10:00 and we were so excited to be on our very first sleeper train!
