Day 2

Well at long last I have arrived in India! So far so good. My flight landed this morning and so far today I have only really travelled to my hotel, slept and walked approximately twenty metres down the road outside my hostel before deciding it would be wise to turn back. What a place!! It's roasting but not as unbearable as I was expecting thankfully. The roads are mental - constant beeping of horns, cars swerving in and out of lanes in all directions, bikes, buses, tuks, pigs and dogs all over the place, weird animals that I have never seen before pulling carts and so so many people everywhere walking in around traffic! There is such a buzz about the place and despite the chaos there is something appealing about it all. I cannot wait to begin checking out some sights tomorrow. Thank you everyone for all the lovely messages that you have sent over the past few days.. They have definitely made this first part of the journey which has been rather daunting, much easier.
