The second day in Jaipur was brilliant. We visited the Amber Fort which was absolutely beautiful. It is huge and so incredibly detailed. There were hundreds of elephants all painted Indian patterns in bright colours. Later that day we relaxed by the pool and then went for dinner in the Jaipur Inn. I got a baked potato with beans and cheese and never have I been happier to see a spud. The restaurant was on the roof so we had a great view of the city and it was a lovely way to end our time in Jaipur.
Up at 0430 the next morning for the early train to Agra - home to the majestic Taj Mahal. We arrived around lunchtime and were over the moon to discover on there was a pizza hut beside our hotel. Second normal meal in a row! We then set out to the Agra Fort - it was unbelievable... The detail that the builders included all those hundreds of years ago using minimal tools is amazing. Today was definitely the hottest day so far - 42 degrees if not more.. Pretty tough going. Next stop the Taj Mahal! I had really been looking forward to this day and it didn't disappoint. Incredible! All the temples, forts and palaces that I have seen so far completely beat all my expectations. This trip just keeps getting better day by day :)
