I cannot remember the last time i wrote on here, in the last few days we have started placement. On the labour ward. very different from the uk. The labvour ward is free if you need it here and here the women that cannot afford to pay come. They are all in one ward and the beds are really cloe to each other and they give birth allin the ame room on the first day we saw two births and the a c-section . This was surpose to be a an emergancy but they came two hours later. They were both ok. The next day we went in the ward was full but it was quite a hard day there was two still births. one I only saw here before and after when we had to take here to the post natel ward and leave her there with all the other ladies and there new babies. She didn't seem to have any relatives there either. But we did leave her sharing a bed with a nice couple of ladies. They stay there for 12 hours after giving birth they have to share a bed two or three families. The other stillborn was a c-section that they got to too late. Charlotte and I then went to the special baby unit were they have babie born at 7 monthes but because of no money they are put on oxygen but they rarley live but we did get to feed two orphens that there mothers had just abandond them was asked if I wanted to take one home.
We have had no power for the last 30 hours eat by candle light and had to read our books by candle light get changed for bed . It was like a jane austin novel carrying our candles. We went in to town ysterday and I think we had everyone trying to sell us things because we bourght some jewery on the street. and some stamps. And today we have come to the hotel for some relaxation.
On thursday night we all went out to a club after a babacue at the house. It started to rain and rainned all night the club was open air we all danced in the rain and the mud. There wa african band then club music. We slipped everywhere because of the mud there was lots of eropeans there they all came out the woodwork.
