Thursday 12 February Barnbougle
Warm and sunny 26
Today we are playing Lost Farm and once again Dad has a caddy organised. We take the car over to Lost Farm and meet up with Bill the caddy. As my clubs are going onto the cart I am going to walk today. It's nearly a perfect day with light cloud cover and a winds light also. Bill is entertaining and once again an excellent caddy and good company. Lost Farm has 20 golf holes instead of the usual 18. It is a lot more straight forward than Barnbougle and this is obvious in the scores at the end of the round. Dad wins the day again with Chris coming 3rd. After our game we return to Barnbougle to get cleaned up and then we ventured up to the club house for a drink to discuss the shots of the day.
Chris decides to take a nap, while Dad decides to read the paper and I venture to the practice green for chipping practice. After an hour Dad joins me and eventually at 6pm it’s time to get ready for dinner. Neither of us have perfected our strokes so we head to dinner at the Dunes. After a nice meal we return home to pack ready. We have decided to have one more go at this golf course so we have booked an early tee time at Barnbougle Dunes for one last try.
