Day 21 - After experimenting with a Set Dosa we left for the Bull Temple (which indeed housed a massive Bull Statue), Dodda Ganesha Temple and lots of other nearby little temples and witnessed more Hindu ceremonies. Next up a stroll around the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens proved very relaxing and its lake is a step up from Coate Water! The gardens included rose gardens, cactus house, random monkey men, fountains and an impressive glass house modeled on Crystal Palace where they were dismantling the Independence Day flower show. Catherine's haggling skills clearly perfected before our next ride we made it to the teak Tipu Sultan's Palace, small but very ornate, before the Venkataraman Temple. Kempegowda's Fort remains and viewing the Jama Masjid. Lunch followed back on MG Road with Olivia liking the Pasta Olivia (though not sampling) and her coffee muffin drink and Catherine enjoying a KitKat shake and Ferrero Rocher cake - yummy! (Who said we'd lose weight in India?!) With no rains today, at a bargain Rs. 4 the Government Museum and Venkatappa Art Gallery with their statues and colourful works occupied our time before a walk through Cubbon Park to the imposing red gothic State Central Library and High Court. Despite the rain Bangalore bought us parks and interesting museums - but now we're moving onto Hyderabad.
