Cat's Big Adventure
I know I know, more beautiful bloody scenery! Maybe it will make you feel better to hear that it rained constantly; that it took us (me) SEVEN hours to walk 8kms (I'm blaming the slippery terrain and steep gradient - ahem); I nearly got eaten alive by vermin in the wood cottage and my legs seized up to such an extent I couldn't actually walk on the Monday!
That all aside. The scenery was bloody beautiful. The indigenous forest in that area is awe inspiring and I'd never quite seen anything like it.
It also inspired me to get fit! If I'm going to climb mountains in NZ, I need to be fitter! Robert (my personal trainer - yeh I know) has been working me hard and getting my legs as strong as possible.
