School, oh joy, the favorite activity for any 10-18 year old. And today I started my new experience into the Belgium school system. Some things are obviously different, the fact that I have 10x as many students as KISH and a building 4x as large, Im expected and required to sit for the whole day, Im the new student and that, my friends, is all in French.
My first day was Friday, but I was so beat down and worn out after I couldn't even talk about it. It was different, and at the time I mistook different for bad. I was lost, new, an outsider and confused. My school was not KISH and I finally hit the wall everyone talks about.
Today marked a new day as always and after argueing with myself the whole weekend I decided to try it again. And today was different. I was still lost but I was discovering, I was still new, but I tried to met some people and I was still confused but I laughed and promised to learn.
I had Relgion, Math and Sports. All were insanely new experiences for me but experiences that I enjoyed.
In a huge school you get lost, but its nothing compared to how lost you feel in a group of 3000 students all speaking a foreign lanuage. I love KISH with my whole heart, anyone knows me they know I consider it my home. That was a big day for me, and so will be tomorrow but for right now Im doing it one step at a time.
Jesus, Polynomials and Gymnastics.
