Argh, I'm tired. We went to the beach today for our 'learn to surf' day. And i dont think i'll be becoming a surf-babe anytime soon. Still seem to have a rather overwhelming fear of water since the white water rafting, which is annoying. So i waded out with the board after all the ON-land instruction... and yeah, got hit by afew waves, watched other people have a go, and then pretty much gave up on the idea and went back in. I've just booked my bus ticket to Melbourne, which was a right hassel, and now i think i need to find a way to print the e-ticket out... so stressful! I think i can safely say that i had one of the best new years eves in afew years! and thats not only because the last 2-3 have been really rubbish! Today I went to Manly Beach to meet Careen, who i met in Bangkok about a month ago now. She'd made a picnic, so we sat by the beach and ate that. Unfortunately it started to cloud over, and we got abit chilly. Took a walk round the bay, which is really nice, and the waves are HUGE. This is the first beach ive seen in Oz and it didnt exactly make me want to leap into the water... those waves were scary more than inviting. I took afew pictures but not enough to war...
