So glad to see your travels are going so well - you appear to be having a lot of fun together. The wine tour looked very well behaved (a case of judicious editing for the blog I wonder??). I am looking forward to seeing your pics of Buenos Aires as it's a city I would love to visit. Ed is going up the Great Barrier reef at the moment, loving every minute of it, and has totaly fallen for Oz.
I'm still keeping my ears open for work for Emma - when is she returning?
You would never believe it but today (April 6th) we woke up to a winter wonderland and thick snow was falling in London - most of it had melted by the afternoon however.
I am just starting down at Shepperton tomorrow on a new job for an animation company which should be interesting. Let you know more when I've started.
In the meantime enjoy the rest of your travels and keep sending the photos - we love'em. Julian x

Hi Claire and Emma
I heard from Marie today and she says that you are now in Chile, too bad that you missed your cousin Christopher, as he was in southern Chile (Punta Arenas) for 2 days after leaving the Antartic , today he is flying into Equador and will be landing tomorrow in the Cayman Islands and then back to Canada.
Hope your adventure is going well, Looks like you are having a wonderful time, great to see all the photos and updates.
Take Care. Concepta

As you wend your way to NZ I'm beginning to feel really envious - hope you love it as much as we did. Only problem was we did not want to come home! Oz looks amazing, and obviously higher on the happiness stakes than China. I now know why I haven't been there. Looking forward to the video and the stories you haven't told us yet....!!!!!! Enjoy......Lots of love, Aunty Angela

Hi Claire and Emma
what an amazing journey you 2 are on, I know Christopher would love to travel where you to have been to, but he is still in the Antartic until March. Her wants to go to Russia and China too so I will give him the link to check out your pictures when he comes back. The pictures are amazing, it is great to be able to keep up with your travels. Take care and will keep in touch. Love Concepta and Brian

What a wonderful journey you are having - despite the boats (best to stay clear of them I think). I love the change of expressions between China and Oz; the home comforts and warmth make all the difference. The close up of the Chinese food confirmed why I have never gone there but the pandas looked fabulous. I have just heard from Ed who has had a fascinating tiem in Cuba (loved all the music) and is now making his way through Guatemala and Mexico by local buses - horseriding and climbing into volcanos etc. It's great tracking the progress of all you guys around the planet. You are doing so well with your blog, I don't know how you find the time to do it but it's appreciated this end. Enjoy Oz and try the Bridge Climb and helicopter flight over Sydney + tour up to Blue Mountains. Julian x

Hi Claire & Emma,

Last entry a bit scary....but would make great film so far....how is the Chinese coming along, no doubt you've learned some expletives along the way. Are there many other westerners about - or are you the highly visible ones? Take good care....you are going to have some great tales to tell by the end of this journey. Lots of lovexxx

So glad you've found time to write your blog and download photos 'cos it's great reading all about Ice Station Panda. It looks as if you had the whole of The Great Wall to yourselves; so surreal, so freezing with no snowman in sight. It's really weird seeing you both on what appears to be another planet altogether. Happy river cruising ....looking forward to the pics. Make sure Lawson doesn't go overboard! Julian x
