Beijing (nice part) Day 1 + 2

Arriving at Beijing Airport were met by our driver and taken to the hotel where we were staying for the first night, the Great Wall Commune Kempinski. Arriving at the hotel, we were told that as our own villa was a little far from the hotel we could dial 4 and someone would come and pick us up for dinner or take us back to sleep, and when would we like to book our massage and skiing lesson? Nice for us. We immediately booked another night.

Had a feeling as we were lying on fur (sorry PETA) bean bags by a log fire drinking red wine that this perhaps was not real backpacking. But it felt nice.

Next day amazing. Trekked for miles through snow to the great wall. only people for miles and miles and no idea where we were going, but unbelievable when we got there, worth nearly dying on the way back for. Then skiing in afternoon. Chinese skiiers are most funny thing after Lawson on skiis. Launch themselves off the top, ski in a straight line until they fall giggling skis everywhere, at least they make it half way however, unlike lawson. little man skiing in business suit blowing a silver whistle 2nd best sight after wall so far.
