Update from Cambodia! but first...Thailand. Really we just spent the night in Bangkok, found Jess (eventually) at the airport having wondered in and out of the air con in the aiport several tiimes and made our way to our lovely hostel. A big change from the HK hostel, we had a lovely white room with no boxes where we planned the next few days. With help from the hostel staff we found our way to the bus station (via the tran station by mistake) and took a 4 hour bus trip to the Cambodian border on which Jess got sick dripped on her from the small boy infront, yum! Then we had an interesting experience crossing the border involving dodgy tents, several tuktuks (trailers led by motorbikes) and extreme heat. Once across we got a taxi and another tuktuk too our guesthouse which luckily is run by an englishman who is very helpful.
Today we went to the temples of Angor Wat.It was lovely, though very hot. We had a guy with a tuktuk driving us around the different temples where we would get out ad scramble up a lot of stairs and fallen rocks to take millions of pictures which could quite possibly end u looking all the same...but nvm it was a great day. none of us got burnt which is impressive as our first real day in the sun and we all drank lots of water like good children (esp ted..3litres!!). We have now booked the next four days, heading to Phnom Penh and the south coast for some sea and sand over the Chinese New Year.
Will update u as we go..hope ur all enjoying ur cold weather :p we are steaming...
Love Ted, Will, Jess and Jo
