After a long flight from Vancouver to Paris followed by a 10 hour drive, we finally arrived in LaFouillade! The sun was setting when we arrived and it was absolutely gorgeous. We went to meet the owners who live next door (although the property is 4 hectors so 'next door' is still quite a trek). Glenn and Susan were two of the nicest people I've ever met. They showed us the house and Susan had made us a chocolate cake and homemade bread and jam (and a lovely bottle of wine)! I hope they know we're not paying to stay here. :)

So the house...wow!! The house was absolutely stunning, it blew me away. It was an old converted farmhouse that they had turned into a beautiful 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bathroom home. It had all the original stone walls and wood beams and shutters which were amazing! Our master bedroom had patio doors that opened up to the pool area -- and what a fabulous pool it was! Not to mention it overlooked the valley and was surrounded by lavender and foliage. So beautiful! The house also has endless manicured grounds (where I'm sure Keira will be practicing her gymnastics) and a games room under the pool area with pingpong, darts and foosball.

We all all exhausted after the long journey. I'm sure we'll sleep well tonight! :)
