In continuation of my blog conquering asia, the second destination we had from Aug 2-4 was Vietnam.
It was late night when we arrived HoChiMinh city - the capital of Vietnam. We immediately took our late dinner at Pho24 and savored our vietnamese spicy noodles. We went to the nearest money changer to exchange our money to vietnam dong. In an instant, a 3,00 peso cash were replaced to more than 1 million vietnam dong. Yeah, I'm an instant millionaire - but only in Vietnam.
It was a two day stay in Vietnam so we made sure our itinerary was strictly followed. On our first day, we had our half day city tour then headed straight to Mui Ne to spent the rest of our afternoon sand surfing and gliding. It was really a fun day with friends that we played on Mui Ne sand dunes like a child and bare foot. We ended the night by having our dinner by the beach then went back to the city where we bought souvenirs.
Our second day was more relax as we explore the rest of the city by foot. Tourists must be careful for there are tons of motorcycles on the road than cars. We visited the War Remnants Museum, the city's cathedral and post office. We also dropped by at Saigon Square mall to finish off shopping more souvenirs.
Packed up again for our flight to our third and last destination - Thailand!
