Famous for one of the most important daily markets in the Andes where the vendors sell the usual woolen/Lama clothes, weavings, paintings, jewellery & Montecristi hats. Stu couldn`t resist and bought himself another one, but this time in straw colour. Good job too as a few days later he left his other one on the bus - whoops! He was not a happy boy about that.
After wondering the market we went for a short walk to the next village of Peguche, famous for its weaving. Here we ate some street food of little mashed potato patties shallow fried and servied with a fried egg and the manditory chopped red onion, tomato and corriander. It was yum and a really nice change from rice. Rice is served with everything!
After a terrible nites sleep on the bus we were pretty tired so spent the rest of the day updating our blog and researching our final country. Ahhh, the final destination is finally upon us. 7wks today we will be on a plane back home and I`m feeling blue about it. I can`t believe its nearly over and I don`t feel at all ready to go back. I`m sure once I`m home it`ll be much better than I think, but a few more months would have been that much easier to handle having to go home.
