Today was my first day and it has been amazing. After getting to bed around 1.30an after ne and ny roon mate Jennifer had finally stopped chatting I then woke up at 4.30am! (first night in a strange place syndrome). I went out around 7.30 am and ,e and Jennifer walked round the town which was much quieter that time of day but it was interesting watching people set up their market stools ready for another busy day.

Today was the first day of our 2 week tour and we left the hotel at 11am amd had a 2 hour bus journey to Kanchanaburi so I caught up on some sleep. Whem we arrived we them got on a pick up truck whihch took us to our guest house which is actually on the river Kwai! we went to a war ,useam first then we had a boat ride down the river which was so fast and bumpy it was so much fun. We then went to sone caves where there is a temple. We had to go right down into the cave and it was really beautiful. From there it was the fast boat again which took us to the famous bridge over the river Kwai and the death railway. I had really been looking foirward to it and it was excellent. We walked along the railway and saw the train come past. I havemt been able to load the pics today but I will do soon. We have just had dinner and are going back now got to be up at 8.30 tommorow!
