Another blog from Dublin
Study life is good. Although it already starts to be pretty busy there is still some time to enjoy Ireland. Last Saturday I went to Wicklow with the International Student Society and 66 other students. We went to the area where a part of the movie P.S. I love you was recorded and to the jail of Wicklow which was very interesting. The nature is beautiful and we were lucky as the weather was pretty good (no rain, sunshine and approximately 15 degrees).
This week the projects started. As I have 3 projects and you are divided in groups they are spread over the weeks. Unfortunately I have all 3 projects in the same week so that will be pretty busy. To give you an idea of my study activities, I have 3 different classes per semester. This semester (until 17 December) I have 2 fixed classes and 1 optional module, which I could choose out of 3 different classes. The subjects are Procurement and Supplier Management ( class on Tuesday Morning), Supply Chain Analytics (class on Thursday afternoon) and I choose to do Project management (class on Thursday morning). Although this does not sound as that much work I have to write 3 reports (1 group report 5000 words, 2 individual reports, one 5000 words and one 2000 words), do 1 group presentation per subject. Next to that I have to write a weekly blog for Procurement Management about the articles we had to read that week prepare a 5 min presentation for Project management about the articles we had to read that week as every week he will randomly pick some people to present the readings, and I have to prepare cases for analytics. However the good sight on all is that all these tasks will determine my grades so there is no exam.
So now you know what keeps me busy over here.
Currently I am staying at a family's house. As there is a cat and the house is not very clean my allergies are a problem so I will move to a small apartment, which is owned by a Irish man (so I will have to share the apartment), next Saturday (28 September). It is a lot closer to the centrum and a bit to the University.
On Friday I will go to Bray with a friend I met in my hostel 2 weeks ago.
Hugs from Dublin!
