Last day fishing at Cape Keraudren and we all headed out in Pete's boat. Trolling around the Cape we landed a couple of Queenies and a big Barracuda. Eleni caught the Cuda but if you see the photo you'll notice I'm holding the fish. This was because Eleni wouldn't hold it to pose for a photo. I think the teeth on the Cuda might have put her off a little.
No luck bottom bashing at the entrance where we had some luck yesterday so we went back trolling and while doing so Pete's sounder found a nice bit of reef that was covered in fish.
Each time we drifted over this spot our lines went off, mainly with serious Trevally but also the occasional mangrove jack. Pete hooked onto a nice " nor-west snapper" that was massacred by a big barracuda as it reached the surface. The end result was Pete landing a fish head, not a fish.
In the end we filleted 3 nice trevally and a mangrove jack but we had caught and released quite a few really heavy trevally.
As we are leaving tomorrow the afternoon was spent packing and readying ourselves for heading north.
