Ok, so i went to get my first vaccinations which went relatively well. Trouble is, no one at uni tells you those shots cost a fortune, 70 euros for a rabies shot of which you need 3... Of course I took the shots (only had one so far) cause I want to be as safe as possible, plus they last a lifetime.

Then there's the question of whether i want to go to Yunnan province cause you need malaria medication over there. At any rate I need all sorts of bug repellants and perhaps a set of needles etc. All in all that means I blew my entire UU money (the 260 euro mini grant) on vaccinations... i guess those are the hidden costs for developing countries...

Ok, ik heb mijn eerste injecties gehad en dat ging relatief goed. Het probleem is alleen dat niemand van de Uni je verteld dat die dingen je een arm en een been kosten, 70 euro voor een rabies vaccinatie waar je er 3 van nodig hebt (heb er nu 1 achter de rug). Natuurlijk heb ik daar wel voor gekozen, je kan niet veilig genoeg zijn, bovendien kun je er een leven lang mee vooruit.

Dan is er de vraag of ik ook naar Yunnan wil gaan reizen want daar heb je malaria medicijnen voor nodig. Ik heb sowieso allerlei soorten muggenwerende middelen nodig en een set met steriele naalden etc. Helaas betekend dit meteen dat de mini beurs (260 euro) die ik van de UU heb gekregen al weer op is...
