Well clearly we went into true vacation mode and stopped blogging altogether. We were simply doing too much relaxing, game playing, and lots of eating.
Here's a sampling of other activities during our week in Oregon:
-Apple and peach picking at a beautiful orchard. The owner also showed the girls the owls in the barn, which they loved.
-Mags and I saw a performance of Pirates of Penzance with Becky, Claire and their friends Beth and Izzy. Maggie loved it and was on the edge of her seat through the majority of the performance.
-We spent a day at Emigrant Lake in Ashland, where Maggie went down her first water slide - about 25 times. Ellie declined. : )
-Ellie turned 4 during our trip and her birthday was our last full day in Ashland. We all had a fantastic day, with a hike through Lithia Park, scrambling through rocks in Ashland Creek, sightings of a baby deer up close, and a sushi feast in the middle of the day. Ellie ate raw salmon!
Our first family vacation is going to be hard to beat. It really couldn't have gone better. The girls are pro travelers and handled everything like they were old hands. We now head sadly back into the real world!
