Got your email while I was half way through an interview in Bath. Brought a smile to my face. Have now had a chance to speak to Richard Branson and he is going to arrange an extra plane to follow us to Barbados so that we can carry your stuff from home!! He wants to know when the principal of frugal living was lost from gap years. Despite that, we will do our best to get material to you.

What do you mean a boring game? It was superb and if you had waited since 1939 for Pompey to do it, you would have enjoyed every moment too. Just in case I shall bring a dvd with me so that you can see it too!!! Bet that you can not wait.

Go on you blues!!!! A magnificent victory full of flowing football and topped off with a thirty yard winning volley from Kanu (now known as the King of Africa!). Perhaps it was not quite like I described it but we won and that is the important thing. The parade took place yesterday and over 200,000 people were there either on the route or on the common and it was a party. So Europe here we come.

Went to Linda's party on Saturday...fantastic lunchtime on the Balcony of the Globe, a cake at the end of some great food and wine, a cab to Nigel's to watch the game and finally back to the Globe to see A Midsummer Night's Dream. A fantastic, witty and thoroughly enjoyable 3 hours of fine acting.

All down hill to Barbados now but little things like Sasha's birthday and another week's inspecting in Bath first. Look forward to seeing you very much.

Hope the Galapagos was great. Will await the description and the photos.

Can't believe it's over a month since my last message - so sorry. Also can't believe we had snow when I sent it, having just had two glorious sunny weekends sailing.

Had the pleasure of one of Dad's trout specials last Sunday - thought I was popping in for a cup of tea, but ... you know how it is!

Really good that you all are meeting up soon.

So ... I have left football to last. Sheppy and I are not happy about Liverpool's defeat by Chelsea in Champions League, other Nigel probably getting quite anxious about ManU v Chelsea in the final on Wednesday, but most important for you guys Portsmouth in the FA Cup final this weekend....

hope you've had a fab time in the Galapagos islands. and that nothing untoward has happened this week.! Dad's away at the mo in Bath and i'm going up to meet him tomorrow night for our anniv. so need to go and pack but just thought I'd say hello.

Still trying to sort your uni accommodation the web page link won't work but they've promised to register your application from 2/5 the date of my first e:mail, as it's first come first served. going to be a hectic few days when you get back to turn things around in less than a week! still another exciting adventure to look forward to!

Hello rat bag how is it going over there?

Meanwhile life goes on with the Final only a couple of weeke away now. You might remember it is the same day as Linda Goldsmith's birthday at the Globe so I started the busines of prepARING HER FOR MY ABSENCE FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS OR SO. (Sorry hit caps lock...can't be bothered to go back and undo it!!!). If you get a moment you might send a message and perhaps a photo that I cn download and give to her from you.

We are decorating the lounge and dining room (in fact Mat is doing it) and once sorted we shall put the house on the market and if we sell we shall send you a forwarding address!!! If we stay put we shall blow the money on a soft top for Mum. We are going to get something for all this work!!!

Weather this week is gorgeous and about 24/25 degrees and the good news is that it will last to the weekend.

Well thats about it for now...I am going to send a few more emails and go to bed.
