Hey Everybody
We are back in the western world now!
As you may or may not have gathered we didn't really like Malaysia too much, so we are glad to be back to civilisation, well Australia!
We went to Raffles to have a singapore sling, it was a real bargain at $22 each. The raffles bar was very nice, but not really what we were expecting. The bar where the riff raff (like us) can drink is not really that posh. You can go in jeans and trainers and throw all your nut shells on the floor when you are finished, but still it was good fun and the hotel is very posh. Couldn't stay in Raffles for too long though as we had to get up and be at the airport for 6:00am the next day, which was nice.
Flight was good and we got stuffed full of free food and drink! Got picked up at the airport by aunty mags and uncle jimmy and they took us back to thier place just outside Fremantle to meet up with Jae and Jess. That night we stayed at the house where Jess, Scott, Bill, Woggie and another lad from thier band live. Was reasonable clean considering there are five lads living there!
We have been into Fremantle and Perth to have a look around and both are really nice. Carey has been shopping for jumpers and warm clothes, as its still winter here at the moment. At the weekend we went down to Cowtown with Jess and Bill for a couple of days. They took us for lunch at a local brewery, then for a bit of wine tasting at a vinyard and then to a lovely beach at Gracetown.
We have also been to the beach at Cottesloe, which was really cool, and we saw dolphins swimming just off the shore. While we were down in Cowtown we went to watch Jess and Bill play Aussie rules football, was good, but nowhere near as good as football (not soccer)!!!!!
We have just got back from Perth today, where we have bought ourselves a camper van. So we can now start to move about again. We are going to watch the "Dockers" play this weekend with Jae and then going to an irish bar on Sunday to watch the Celtic game, I hope!!!
After the weekend we are heading up north towards Broome, taking in some other places along the way, then back to Perth to watch Jess and the band do a gig in Perth. We are having a really good time so far in Oz and everyone has been so nice to us so far.
Roll on the summer, hope everyone doesn't get too cold in the next few months, ha ha ha!
Good luck to the Sunday team in thier first game this Sunday.
C'mon the Hoops!!!
Missing you all lots.
Love Liam and Carey xx
