We left Sydney at bout 5pm and started to head north the road system is very easy not so many roundabouts more of an American setup with junctions and blocks it gets dark at like 5 30pm due to it being the winter by the way the weather over the last three days has been very cold with a bit of rain still 15 degrees but not the same as England's 15 degrees. We found a rest area on the highway and pulled in for the night. Woke up at 6am still suffering from the jet lag and a very restless night was so cold and the van is a little let's snug (luckily Mikael is not gay so that eased my mind a little although he snores like a c*** we got a good days worth of driving with not do many stops only for fuel which is on average bout $1.40 a litre not so bad. We found a stop called hawks nest which are first sight of a beach very nice but still so similar to England murky water and freezing. The next couple of days where spent driving and sleeping in rest areas on the highway we were showering in outdoor showers next to the beach omg so cold but free so worth it. Then it came time to fill up our fridge in the van so we stopped for some shopping holy s*** was it expensive really made me appreciate the price of essentials in England a loaf of bread £2 pasta £3 any sort of fruit or veg same price I spent $40 dollars on 1 bag of basics! So the next few days pasta and jam sandwiches are on the menu and my eating habits have changed so much from before as you know mum how much I was eating now I'm having a piece of bread in the morning then pasta at night and that's it as for alcohol you can only buy it in liquor shops and the cheapest beer I've found was bout £8 for 6 stubby cans absolulty insane and all bottles even the cheapest vodka is £25 a bottle so I've been drinking goon it's cheap boxed wine with a little tap on works out bout £10 for 4liters but tastes like a kangaroos nut juice any way we ploughed on up the coast
