All 36 pairs of shoes were shined, uniforms ironed and I could almost see my reflection in the slick hair which had been attacked by hairspray. After months of hard rehearsing, we were finally ready to show the crowd of our biggest supporters, just how far we had come. And boy, did we take them by surprise.
We began this year as a group of talented school girls, preparing for an overseas tour. But by the last note of Ground Zero, we had been transformed into an International Choir that was ready to embark on their journey to the World Choir Games. The response from the audience was incredible and as we sung "I Still Call Australia Home", we knew that we'll do our country, our school, Mrs G, Ms Cooke and most importantly; ourselves proud when we compete overseas.
