Stu Paul Sam's Travels
Touch down in bankok,
first impressions, hot, sweaty, fast paced, grimey, buzzing damn tasty. Ok so Bangkok is buzzing, busy traffic, bustling bars, and loads of wierd and exotic smells. 1st night stayed in the luxury D&D inn on the Koh San rd. This is back packer mecca, the road is really busy full of tuk tuk street vendors hustlers and buskers. Lots of street food mostly pad thai also some more exotic scorpian and cockroaches in garlic v nice.
Hotel is sweet, it has a lush swiming pool on the roof terrace, the place is full of all sorts coming and going. Had a thai massage on the terrace when we 1st arrived, very firm full body massage, firm to the extent of pain. Sam whigned and whimpered through his but did enjoy it, stuart fell asleep and i felt relaxed after lots of crunching and clicking of joints.
Hopefully on the overnight train down to the islands tonight get a bit of kip and wake up in a entirely different place to bangkok. People have told me that the pace is much slower and the prices are much cheaper, sounds like my kind of place.
Bangkok is a fantastic potent place but like most strong potent things i think it is best indulged in in small doses.
