Christmas away from the family was hard. Although they celebrate Christmas out in Peru and have chidren singing in choirs, decorations and Christmas markets, theres nothing like waking up to open your presents, Christmas dinners, the queens speech and watching re-runs of only fools and horses.
Christmas eve we went for a meal with our amercian friends Coleen and Megan. We had a lovely 3 course meal of Llama and the trimmings. We saw Christmas day in with a few beers in the Irish pub Paddy's and the fireworks in the main square carefully avoiding the young boys who should not be trusted with fireworks.
Christmas Day, we paid a bit more for a Christmas meal in an English pub called Crosse Keys with our other friends Alycia and Adam. Sadly, this meal sucked with tough turkey and hard spuds! The llama from the previous night was much better but the company more then made up for it!
We spent the next few days visting the Inca museum where we saw mummies with lots of Inca Pottery. We also treated ourselves to a Inca massage which was a bit of a mish mash of other techniques but sorted out weary muscles and only cost £4 for an hour!
Next stop Puno on our way to Bolvia!
