So the day started from Ft. Augustus and headed up to the Isle of Skye and deeper into the highlands. Stopped at the castle in the picture Eilean Donan, a castle initially established to twart the Vikings who came into the estuary. Just returned from a night drinking at Fort Augustus at the west end of Loch Ness. Leanne has aged 30 years in the last few weeks and is no longer interested in dealing with the young folks. Spent the day touring around Edinburgh. It is a very old looking city that is built upon the tops of old volcano's and rock formations. The city is connected by bridges that are built over top of other buildings so you feel a bit like you are in a maze. The city feels very regal yet darker than I would have expected.
