Thank you for visiting us at l'escargot bleu with Mr Hungeford and his lovely wife. We had a busy summer, and I wasn't able to open your blog. It is now done, and I must say "quelle aventure!" and "quel courage!". What a trip. I see you keep your sense of humor. mind you, you need it when you go back to a tattooed man!
Wish you all the best times possible, and will travel from now on from my sofa. Thanx to you. I love your photos!

Hello,
As promised a message blog, I hadn't forgotton, Doctor Finlay just happend to stay in the Pacfic, so the verbal diahorea hs dried up a bit. Its official the weather is rubbish here, summer is over and it hasn't stopped raining since we got back. Flip Flops are out and boots are on. The brambles are out and we picked lots, so are in the process of making bramble Gin, Wine and Jam. Anne the gin should just about be ready for when you are back, next year.
Rob is missing his sarong so much his crew have made him a gortex one and man bag, so he's keeping up the holiday image. Good news though no recent sighting of speedos
No other real news, the regular racing, doing my Monster Duathalon challnege next week which is keeping me out of trouble.
I hope all is well with you both and you are still enjoying the Pacific way of life. I hope you enjoyed Nick's company and are looking forward to more vagrants from Naiaid (sorry Murray) joining. Keep in touch and don't break any more boat bits.
Anna
PS Susan has been briefed on the standard of entertainment/fun required to crew on Equinox

somehow always manage to lose the 1st message. All sounds wonderful tho' would have died of fright in the heavy seas. I'm in a fankle about a trip to Anstruther this w/e. wind & rain forecast. I'll think of you Anne and take comfort that you are surviving all. The stories & photos are great. See Gordon now has 2 types skirt to chose from-- depending on the temp.
Your garden looking good with the blooming petunias-----nothing like the pacific island plants tho'.
New house opposite yours now being built.
keep the stories coming. Luv D&AM xx

Hi Gordon and Anne
I am thoroughly enjoying reading about your adventures. There certainly is lot of wonderful places and things to be sampled and savoured in this world - it is just a case of going for it - which you have done with such energy and style.
I'm looking forward to going on some of my own adventures in the next few months: which involves playing the harp, argentine tango and of course sailing - just not all at once!
I think your old crew from Port Edgar should have a get together to celebrate your journey so far! What do you think guys?

Hi both. Margaret Rudd is my second cousin. Haven't seen her for years since my late parents (Sandy and Babs) moved away from Edinburgh. But if you catch up with them again, please pass them my regards.
Just back from fabulously sunny Shetland. Keep having fun!
Love,
Meg

2nd attempt--- Envious 'cept for the dodgy sailing bits and the blood & gore. When is Gordon getting the piercings??. Doug having knee problems may need op. lot of pain. Due to set off for Dundee EC week Sat. but has mast problem, frantic goings on to get it sorted. had good time in Florida and subsequently at a wedding in Berkshire. Kirstie loved S.A. Jim Thomson fell off a roof, nearly killed himself. mostly facial damage didn't look too good.Real scare. George Murdoch had sub dural haematoma now okay. Thats all my GOOD news.Looking at the sky can't see a damn thing June Haar.
