Well, it is May 8th, and my birthday. We are at The Last Resort Campground and have had one meal and one argument already.
Things were going pretty well. May have an issue with the exterior propane valve...when it is half way on, it leaks, but doesn't seem to do when it is on all the way. The guy at Flying J said to get it replaced and Randy doesn't feel real safe with it, but I told him that as long as didn't smell gas, we should be okay. I agree, though, we should have it looked at. I worry about taking it to a camping place, though, the guy at the closest propane place said he couldn't do anything with it, so I'll just have to do some research on replacing the valve and see if it is something we can do.
The argument came when we were trying to put the awning back up. I had wanted to put it down, just to prove that we could. Then it started raining...which wasn't so bad until the wind gusts whipped up and just about tore the awning off the camper. Only one other camper has its awning down, so there we were out in the rain, trying to get the darn thing down and then it got stuck. So, of course this is my fault. Anyway, after about half an hour and going down to the office twice, we managed to get it back up. Of course, it isn't raining any more and the sun even peeped out, but I think we'll wait until tomorrow to put it back up again.
So, I don't know if we'll try and grill out for supper or not. Still, with all the frustrations so far, I still love this. As my friend Dave says, "S...t happens."
