Mt Rushmore / Crazy horse / Custer State Park - South Dakota Custer State Park was next on our planned route, but the sods wanted to charge us $15 to enter, plus all the campsites were full (just bad karma all round) so we decided to push on through the park and found the perfect camp site near the town of Custer. Badlands National Park - South Dakota The drive was a little too long to do in one day so we spent one night on Lake Vermillion, near Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
