hey guys...made it down ok. get the bus to kathmandu tomorrow.
I've just checked my symptoms on net and discoverved some guy had exactly the same experience as me (except mine went on 1 1/2 days more). I thinked I've nailed the problem...when I went to Everest I took a preventative drug for Acute Mountain Sickness - Diamox. I didn't get any major side effects last time...just some tingling in my fingers. But have discovered this guy took it as well (with no major side effects the first time) and had the same big side effects to the tee!!! I'm thinkin as well, I took some Ibuprofen for my headache so maybe that made it worse as well..dunno! Anyhow...at least I know the cause..and I haven't got a brain tumour! I'm gonna head to the International Clinic in Kathmandu tomorrow to just talk it over with a western doc.

PS Promise no more crazy adventures!!!

Hey guys
Thought I'd update ya on my trek...it hasn't really gone right from the start (will tell all on my blog when I get a chance)
Anyhow...I;ve bloody developed Acute Mountain Sickness at 3540m!! Weird thing was I was absolutley fine at this stage goin to Everest. I got to 5550m on that one...so really don't know why its hit me this time.
I've pretty much got a banging headache on the back of my head...l had minor ones on Everest which went, but this one ain't goin. So takin the hard decision to head back (i'm only two days from the pass 5400m) but really don't wanna chance my health...you can die from this! So we are turnin round and headin back tomorrow... :(

I'm fine, I'm 6 days into my Annapurna circuit trek with my guide and porter. There was meant to be others on the trek, but they cancelled last minute. So feel like some Victorian explorer with my man servants. I should be called Livingstone or something and be smoking a pipe, talking about the old days at Eton. Hahaha...
I'm very close to Tibet at mo and its bloody cold!!
