Thought I´d better write a blog cos its been a while. The flat has been a LOT different to the Granada one, its just me and a Swiss guy, Alain. Lets just say he likes ´alternative´clubs in Ibiza where he´s been living for the past 5mths. He´s a really nice bloke, but a lot like chalk and cheese in our bar scenes if ya get me. :P
The school in Barca is a contrast to the one in Granada as well. Seem to have more of a laugh in the lessons ere. They have put me in a higher level by mistake so the last week has been fun!
Even tho I´ve been to Barca a lot, I´ve seen loads that I´ve never saw before...like the whole Port Olympic scene with all the cool bars and restaurants down there. And then of course there is the beach or beaches I shoudl say...tens times bteer than I had them for....so been takin it easy down there after class with a couple of san miguel. Think my tan must be good, cos some english peeps tried to ask me the direction in spanish on the metro to the nou camp.
Went on cool tour of the Barri Gotic which again took me to places I´ve never seen before, like a square that was used to execute Politicians during the civil war. There are pock marks in the wall where the head or heart would be.
I´ve got 5 days left of Spanish lessons now, its been one hell of a learning curve, especially when all they do is speak in Spanish! I´ve learnt a lot but feel like I´ve got a patchy knoweldge cos of the way they have taught it, jumping from grammar to other stuff. Its been a cool experience tho and would recommend it to anyone. DAVID, they have differnt levels here, I´m A1 to A2, but they teach upto C2, you should check it out for a week or something. Don Quijote Language School, they do it all over Spain.
Aplogies for lack of pics...none of the computers have had USB ports available, so will put them on when get a chance.
I´m lookin forward to my 2 week hol on friday...a chance to chill and refuel with Vic before I do my ´INTENSIVE´ 5 week TEFL course in Prague. Whoopee!!
