I know- still no new photos.... I promise that I will get them up sometime in the near future. It has been pretty crazy since last time I updated... Scott, LIndsay and my cousin Kelly came to meet up with Brenna and I in the northern Argentine town of Jujuy. From there we headed straight to Bolivia. Our first stop was a sweet little town called Tupiza. It reminded me of an old wild west town, and is actually very near to the place where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid met their demise. We did a 2 day horseback riding trip out of Tupiza which was amazing. We got to spend the night with a family in a little village which was a really cool experience. the whole trip was a ton of fun, but after 2 long days on horseback all of us were a little sore to say the least... After that we did a 4 day jeep trek through the Bolivian salt plains, called Solaar Uyuni. It was a little weird to be on an organized tour but the views and food were incredible. From there, we headed to Sucre. It was a really nice city full of character, and Scott and I decided to splurge on a 4 star hotel for the night (65 dollars!) which was quite the contrast from all of the budget hostels we have been staying in. After Sucre, Brenna, Kelly and I headed to Cuzco Peru. Lindsay and Scott had already spent quite a bit of time in peru so they decided to stay ion Bolivia for a bit longer. So far we have been loving Cuzco, it is really touristy, but still an amazing and historicaly rich city. Today we are on our way to Machu Pichu which we are really excited about. We will spend 1 more night in Cuzco, and then go back to La Paz Bolivia and meet back up with Scott and Lindsay for a few more nights. Then we prepare for the 3 day bus trip back to Buenos Aires to fly home. It has been an amazing trip so far, but I am also looking forward to getting home. It will be great to unpack the backpack and be stationary for a little bit, and i am also really excited to catch up with friends, family, and of course Lola. I promise I will get pictures up soon! hasta luego.
