1. We enjoy our last hours in San Francisco: take the cable car (and discover it's not only used by tourists!) and visit the oceanfront at Fisherman's Wharf, where we use our national park pass for the last time to visit a couple of boats (apparently there is also a national park within San Francisco).
2. We find a real old-style diner next to our hotel and we enjoy some fabulous food in vintage surroundings.
3. We regretfully take back our jeep, take the flight to LA and get a new, much smaller car (Ford Focus) at the airport.
4. We drive out to the Cheesecake Factory (a chain restraurant) and have an amazing and inexpensive dinner (but no space for the cheesecake) - recommended!
5. We go back to our motel from the first days and to our delight find that we got a room in the newer annex now and the room itself is much nicer too!
6. We notice that Chinese people sneeze differently. No idea how to explain it, don't ask.
