Today was a time of prayer and reflection. We processed what we had heard and did case studies. The revelation today was why business is not considered part of God's mission by missionaries and laity in the church. After studying the spread of Christianity in the first 1800 years we realized that trade merchants were the ones spreading Christianity worldwide. Modernism and postmodernism exaggerated the sacred secular divide. Business moved away toward secularization and church put up walls to protect itself against secular society. It has only been within the last 40 years that church and business leaders have come together to reclaim society for Christ. BAM is the vehicle for returning to the model of speeding the gospel that worked for so many years.
Went to the night bizarre in down town Chiang Mai. Blocks and blocks of small stalls with every conceivable trinket imaginable. It was great fun. We ate at an Irish Pub. Very good food.

Kathie Is that a new shirt? I don't recognize it. Interesting comments about BAM.
Jim Very interesting information, Bill. I don't ever remember a time in my life where I heard about this missionary model before BAM. Even in old movies, I always saw individuals as missionaries, never as part of a business. Are those trinkets in the bag for me or Merce?
