so I am finally going to live out my dream and go overseas, mind you I'm the first person in my family who has ever done this so I am truly representing them, the true loves of my life.... well lets not forget church, friends and my whole community who kept reminding me that how ever I behave will directly reflect on how I have been raised......

Now on top of this pressure, I have my own worries, I'm scared s***less, I'm leaving my entire support structure at home, I must be out of my mind, do I realise that I don't know anyone there? Am I really doing this?? And something deep inside me is screaming YES!! You have waited your entire life for this very moment, every act you have done since you became aware of what you wanted has led you to this very moment, so yes, you are doing this! and you know what, its fine to be scared but you are not alone, there's millions of people who do this everyday, draw your strength from that and God is guiiding your every step so you have nothing to be worried about..........

So I say goodbye to me family, armed with everyone's piece of advice.. 'you must pray, don't go out at night, never walk alone, be careful be care be careful and the list goes on and on....'

I go through the procedures and then I see Exclusive Books, one could say that that place has possessed me, I go in and waste precious moments that I should have used heading to the boarding gate because guess what, when I eventually get to the boarding gate, I am 20 mins late and so I cant get on.......

I am crushed, the plane is really leaving me behind and my whole family has left and said their goodbyes and yes, I am completely alone... or so I though... God steps in..... The guys who helped me check in again help me take my luggage and help me book a hotel and tell me to let tomorrow sort itself out.... so I sleep in a hotel in Kempton park (interesting story behind that but we'll get into that onother day) this nice guy, who mind you is off for the day, takes me back to the airport and I immediately start making calls to my agent and asking for assistance about this terrible thing that has happened to me.. She assures me that she will do everything she can but it doesn't look good and on top of that it is going to cost me again..... I don't care about the costs behind it only that someone has to help me out of this situation because I have got to get on that plane, my dream is literally on my finger tips, its just a matter of catching it!

Throughout this whole mess, my family is busy calling and smsing to find out how i am doing, and I am a terrible liar, so I opt to switch off my phone for a while and have it back on again to speak with my agent, needless to say, it takes her the whole day to sort me out, which puts a R4000 whole in my pocket but atleast I am still going, I finally call my gran on the landline phone and let her know that I am ok and then finally, go through the whole checking in procedures again 3 hours early and then sit waiting for my turn to conquer the world!!

Moments that will stay with me forever..... the first time I boarded a train, when it took off, when on air, that view, the feeling of being inside a plane, the service a received and the landing of that plane and stopping in a different country (Dubai) in between; priceless!

I finally arrived in Babgkok after a +- 20hr flight and the first thing that hit me was the heat, indescribable i tell you! mind you, its Saturday evening, I havent had a bath in two days, so the heat might have hit me more than the average guy lol. We checked in a hotel called 'my hotel' lol I cant say that name without a giggle, and I slept, in the morning, I woke up, had my first Thai breakfast and then we went a the flee market, Bangkok is well Bangkok, I was so amazed at what I saw, firstly, well from what I saw it is technology advanced in that everything is so efficient, and it is so safe, the market was interesting to say the least...

We got back from the market, had a debriefing and then were taken out to see what happens at night, my word I tell you, I got to see lady boys first had and eventually saw a ping pong show which left my mouth hanging and utterly shocked at what I was seeing, to put it lightly, I have discovered more uses for the female genital area lol (That is also a tale for another day) we then headed off to sleep while the others still partied away and then we made our way to a 3hr trip out to hua hin where I have had the best time of my life! and thats where the next chapter begins......................
