Got picked up at 7.45 and headed off on the ferry to Fraser Island on a 4 wheel drive day tour. Fraser Island is the worlds largest sand island and its quite impressive. First stop was at lake Garawongwera which is a pretty cool sand lake. Next stop we drove partly along 75 mile beach where we stopped at an area with lots of different coloured sands. Along the beach was also Maheno shipwreck which has been there since the 30's and is actually gradually weathering away. We then stopped at Eli Creek for a boardwalk on the way back to the ferry. Suprising how big Fraser Island is and we hardly cover any of it really but we got a good feel of it.
