We keep getting woken up by the cleaners! we are not used to having a maid. We went for a walk back to the glacier front and found a lake called Peter's Pool where we got a couple of good photos of the mountains reflecting in the water. We have to pack up again in a minute ready to move on to Wanaka tomorrow.

Well its Robin's birthday today, there isn't a great deal to do here other than walks. So we had a wander around and spent the afternoon in a nice little cafe. All the restaurants here a very expensive so we are waiting till we get to Queenstown to go out for a meal or something.

Today we did a full days hike on Franz Josef Glacier, it was excellent we were on the ice for about 5-6 hours. Got some good photos hopefully should be able to put them on here soon. Absolutely shattered now our feet are really hurting, they make you wear their shoes so the crampons fit on and they weren't very comfortable. We are staying in a really nice Motel, we couldn't get booked into a hostel so we have splashed out and it feels like 5 star compared to w...

We left Mahinapua at about 9.30am, it was a bit boring today. we stopped off for breakfastfor an hour or so, we then stopped again for lunch for a few hours in the middle of nowhere. It was a bit annoying really as they stopped for people who wanted to do paint ball but if you didn't you got stuck outside where there was nothing but sandflies! hope we don't have another day on the bus like this!
